Florian Wirtz, 21, has already made 148 appearances for Bayer Leverkusen, scoring 41 goals and assisting 49 times, putting himself on the radar of all of Europe’s top clubs.
According to a report in Wednesday’s edition of Sport-Bild, Real Madrid has the best chance of signing the youngster.
Wirtz is unlikely to leave this summer, but a move in 2025 appears possible. The 21-year-old could then succeed Toni Kroos, whose expiring contract Real Madrid are looking to extend for another year.
Bayern Munich, Manchester City, and Arsenal have all been mentioned as strong contenders.
Bayer Leverkusen CEO Fernando Carro stated last month that the club would consider selling Wirtz if offered €150 million. However, he later backtracked and declared the youngster not for sale
